second hand Feed

It's a gorgeous Spring day today. After five minutes of throwing clothes around my bedroom I gave up on trying to fit into last years shorts and was considering a quick trip to the local shops to buy some new clothes. I resisted the urge and did a super quick refashion of an old $2 pair of comfy second-hand jeans. ...a few minutes later I had a 'new' pair of shorts and Little eco had two 'new' skirts. I started off with a pile of $1 opp shop T-shirts and ended up with some cute pants for Little eco. They were inspired by the likes of these, these and these. I love that you don’t need to hem the pants because you use the T-shirt hem as the bottom of the pants. I made these a little differently to their inspirations. ...for going plastic bag free. I popped into one of my local Salvos stores today to buy some Winter clothes for Little Eco. I buy all her clothes second hand, or if I want something 'new' for a special occasion I buy 'new' clothing made from recycled materials (I love Vintage Vibes). Not only is buying second hand great for the environment, but it also saves lots of money. I got this bundle of clothes for only $12!
