There’s always next year...

Transition Newcastle Earth Hour celebration, Braye Park 28th March 2010.

Lucky for us (given our no-spend challenge), the event was totally free. There was face painting, puppet making, flag making…

 

fire juggling...

 

and a pied piper procession to the top of the hill…

 

where we could spy on Newcastle to see who turned their lights off for earth hour...

 

Nobody! Above is the ‘after’ earth hour started picture. I haven’t bothered showing you the before pic, as it looks exactly the same! Oh well, there’s always next year? Maybe I should have set up a permanent photo monitoring point?

 

Everyone joined in a sing-a-long during earth hour (although we snuck off with an over-tired Little Eco). We pulled into our driveway mid earth-hour to see our house lit up like a Christmas tree!! Daddy Eco decided to leave the outdoor light on so we could see when we got home and he also left a light on for the dog!!! Oh well, as I said before, there’s always next year?
